About toolbars

Your Inbox, Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, and public folders have their own toolbars, with buttons specific to their function or purpose. The main Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access toolbar, however, contains buttons and menus for more general administrative functions. Some of these, described in the following table, are available from more than one location.

Button Description
Help Provides Help that is specific to the window you're working in.
New Allows you to create a new item, such as an e-mail message, a contact, or a task. This menu is available at all times. The icon displayed to the left of New varies, depending on the window you're working in.
Navigate Up One Folder Moves up one level in your folder hierarchy.
New Messages Checks the server for new messages. This button also refreshes your browser window.
Move Allows you to move messages and folders from one folder to another.
Copy Allows you to copy messages and folders from one folder to another.
Rename Allows you to rename folders.
Delete Moves items to the Deleted Items folder. Select the check box next to one or more items in the main Outlook Web Access window, such as a contact, appointment, or message, and then click this button.
Empty Deleted Items Folder Permanently deletes all items in the Deleted Items folder.
Address Book Opens a dialog box that allows you to search your organization's address list.
View Allows you to sort e-mail messages and contacts by certain characteristics.
