About the folder bar

The Microsoft Office Outlook Web Access folder bar displays the name of the folder you're working in and your current location in the folder hierarchy. It is located between the main toolbar and the work area.

Besides the current folder, the folder bar also displays the names of all folders above it in the hierarchy. The folders are listed in a colon-separated path, starting with the mailbox name and continuing down as many levels as necessary to the current folder, which is always listed last. The resulting format is Mailbox Name : Folder : Subfolder.

Tip  The folder names are also links. Click the name of any folder in the folder bar to go to that folder.

To view any subfolders within the current folder, click the plus sign Button image next to the folder name. The plus sign will become a minus sign Button image and you will be able to view the folder's subfolders while also viewing its contents.

A folder often contains more items than can be displayed in a single Outlook Web Access window.

To scroll through the contents of a folder

  • On the folder bar, click Previous Page Button image or Next Page Button image.

To jump to the beginning or end of folder contents

  • Click First Page Button image or Last Page Button image.

To go to a specific page

  • In the Items box, type a page number, and then press ENTER.
